Hello,

Just want to ask;

How should I round the edges on the port of the DBII box?
(any pictures would be great!)

Thank you

Pat32,

Are you speaking of the DBK10 with the 1/2moon cut out? If so, round over the inside edge with a 3/8"radius bit before assembling the cabinet, then once you get the bottom on you round over the outside.

Hope this helps,

ZYGI

Thanks ZYGI for the reply.

Sorry for not providing enough information. Im referring to the DBK212.
However from your advice, the best is to round both sides of the port?
I have rounded the outside but jumped the gun and assembled it.

Will try and round the inside if its the best setup.

Will throw up some more pictures in the build section of the forum!

Thanks for your help.

edit: looking at the decware build, doesnt appear to be any rounding?

I'm not sure what I'm actually looking at with the Decware build. The port itself is a mere 1/2" slot at the bottom of the bell shape. I'm building one for my son and do not see any reason to round any of the sufraces.

I do have good equipment and will see if there are any undesirable vorticies or disturbances from the sharp exit points but it's a sub-woofer and mathmatically a clever design that should work well.
