transformer saturation!!!

Transformer saturation. What's this??
Well, I spoke to my power conditioner guy and he told me that if Iwas using a 60 Hz transformer ( 120) in a 50Hz location then I would be better off going a bit lower on the power, maybe 230 instead of 240 as the excess voltage may lead to saturation, which would degrade the sound. I have read Steve's note on the OPT saturation ( he touches on this in one of his articles) but this is the first time I have heard of this. Can the guru's let loose their knowledge?

He was referring to the power transformer. A 60Hz transformer running at 50Hz will have lower efficiency and run warmer with less current output.
The output transformers in our amplifiers can not be saturated as they are sized for higher power than the amplifiers are capable of.
