What is "correct" impedance to select for purchase
04/23/11 at 00:44:45

I would like o buy a pair of the DM945 mini's, but have no idea what the "correct" impedance to select is.

Until I've saved enough to get a Taboo and CSP2+ I will be using what I have, which is a GAS Grandson, or a pair of Monarchy Audio SM70 Pro (until returned).

But if I will ultimately have one of he Decware amps, what is the "correct" or "best" impedance to choose, 4 or 8 ohms?

Or now that I've read the description maybe the Mini-Torii instead of Taboo + CSP2. Gah! Choices... Smiley

If I understand what I've been reading on the site here correctly, the 4-ohm would be better matched for the DW amps. Am I understanding better?

Sorry for not responding earlier, I misunderstood your question.

If you will be running one set of speakers, then the 4 ohm version would be best.  You will get more power out of your amp and into the speakers.  If you plan on ever using a second pair of speakers, connecting 2 (or more) speakers to each output channel of the amp, then 8 ohms would be a better choice.
