tryin to decide..

I have been reading and trying to decide which way to go.. i have a mobile DJ service and want to add some thump to the bottom end but  i want to do it in a manner that is different from everyone else.  plain jane bass reflex subs etc I came across the housewrecker and have been toyin with the idea of using one of these for that purpose.. My question is this.. how heavy is it when built out of plywood  or mdf and will it work good for  this purpose?  This looks much more forgiving and changeable than my other idea of a folded horn  thanks for any input you can offer.

If I had to guess I would say 150 to 175 lbs using mdf and fully loaded (4 x 15"s). I am not sure but it could be more, I just know it is dang difficult to move without a hand-truck and then you still haft to wrestle it to get it moving in the right direction. The upside is it will prolly be the only sub-enclosure you will need depending on how big the venue might be. If you need more info let me know.

Hey thanks for the info.. I was hoping it may be less weight.. we have one venue up two long flights of stairs.. so i dont want to wrestle and get the smack down on me if the sub wins the match  I may have to check out a lighter idea some how..

Thanks again!!
