I recently sent in my Decware SE84CS EX for the Hazen mods. Per Steve's recommendation I have been running SV83 tubes (cryo'd) upon it's return.
Well, to make a long story short WOW! The amp in know incredibly neutral and true to source. Previously I was using a pair of Genalex EL84 (New Sensor reissues) in the amp, because with the SV83 tubes, it the treble was simply "too edgy" for my ears. Congratulations to Steve and company for a super improvement!
The Hazen modification ($100 + shipping) really opened the amp up showing the true potential of the SV83 tubes. I prefer my cryogenically treated pair to the standard issues, they are simply smoother to my ears.

Anyone with a Decware CSP2 in the Wilmington, DE/Philadelphia, PA area out there? I would be interested in giving the preamp a listen in my system some weekend and will provide plenty of cold beer and well smoke ribs in exchange [smiley=beer.gif]
Just send me a PM. I think the CSP2 might be my next purchase, replacing my Eastern Electric Minimax pre.
