Decware ZCD Redbook CD player with extras - SOLD
12/09/09 at 02:14:13

Does not include the Mapleshade goodies .....

I have thoroughly enjoyed this fine CD player for over a year now.
To find something that was worthy of replacing it required a setup that originally cost $6000.00 retail ..... and even this front end does not embarrass the ZCD by any means.
Truthfully, I have always had a special affection for a top loading belt drive CD transport and Genesis Digital Lens ..... this is the third pair I've owned so it's no big surprise that it is my front end of choice.

The ZCD is in excellent condition and has some additions that add considerable value :

Includes the following (lifetime supply) of old stock 12AU7 vacuum tubes, all test strong.
Amperex (3 pieces)
Telefunken
RCA Clear Top
Siemens
Sylvania
Tung-Sol
Mullard

Also includes a high quality rear mounted TKD 2CP2511 100K motorized volume control ($110.00 from Michael Percy Audio).
You can use almost any audio component with a remote motorized volume control to drive this potentiometer by running a two conductor wire to the ZCD ..... very handy and fine sounding.
There is a phone plug input (on the far right) to use as a connector.

I used an old Rotel RSP-960AX surround sound processor to drive the remote volume control.  Contact me with any questions on how to do this.

Asking 600.00 + shipping costs from 41001 ..... about 13 pounds.
Will only ship to US address.
PayPal only ..... I will pay the fee.

You can reach me with any questions at : randyaudio@insightbb.com

Thanks,

Randy

Man oh man .....

One of two things must be true .....

Either everyone is broke from buying holiday gifts or the economy has put everyone behind the eight ball .....

A killer CD player with $350.00 worth of extra goodies and not a sniff of interest to this point in time .....

Oh well, maybe after the first of the year .....

Totally amazed Randy

Hi Randy!
I'd be all over it if I didn't already have one. It's a killer deal for sure.
Good Luck,
Hope you are well, Don

I am still amazed that the ZCD has not sold .....

It is a shame to have this very fine player sitting here and not being used, so I will "bite the bullet".

$500.00 plus shipping charges will get it ..... without any of the extra tubes.
The price includes one Amperex tube.

You will not find a better player at this price ..... especially with the installed volume control that has remote capability.

If anyone is interested in the other tubes, email me at randyaudio@insightbb.com to discuss a price.

Randy

Well ...... before I started doing computer work, I spent more than 20 years in the inner city when my Dad and I ran a wholesale distributing business ..... I guess I picked up some of the "lingo" .....

1 - From Wikipedia
Under the phrase "Wolf ticket"

Woofing (woofin')," like "signifyin" and "talkin' trash," is part of the African American oral tradition. The term is derived from the onomatopoeic expression of the sound of, for instance, a junkyard dog barking to ward off potential intruders.

2 - From the Urban Dictionary

"lying about something"

R-Dogg .....
