Have you tried the Taboo with the CSP2 the recommended way? By using the direct input RCA jacks (the inner ones) and turning the volume on the Taboo all the way up.. My understanding is when using the Taboo with the CSP2, you want to totally bypass the volume control on the Taboo the way I described, I mean you are using a pre now afterall

If using the variable
inputs, the volume control located at the front
of the amplifier will control the output level of
both channels at the same time. If you use the
direct inputs, a preamp is required to control
the volume AND the volume control on the amp
that has become a variable shunt to ground
when the direct inputs are used, must be turned <--------- MUST
all the way up.
