I have run a couple of HWK8s full range(no X-over) and they did not sound bad but muddy none the less. I did not haft to drive them to hard and they blend well with the tower speakers. The use of a 31 band EQ also helped out alot. If I was going to use HWK for bass only I would haft to cross it over at at least 100Hz if not lower. What did you have in mind anyway?

i want to use it as a bass unit. the budget is the only problem. and the only crossover i can find, cheaply, cuts at 160hz
something came up and unfortunately i can't work this week on it. hopefully next week
