RL 1.5s with 300b?
03/10/06 at 23:25:35

Anyone have any experience with the RL 1.5s and a 300b (8wpc)? Everything I've read on the 1.5s makes me want to have them, but I occationally like it loud. Although my amp has 4, 8 and 16 ohm taps, I don't really understand what the hell that means. Will the amp drive the 1.5s to a nice, loud level when called upon? Thanks for the help. Cheesy

8 watts should be more than enough for the radials, I would think that the 8 watt mesurement is for 8ohm´s ??? The radials are 4 ohm so you should be getting even more watts out of youre amp, depends on the topology of the amp. But never the less 8 watt into 92 dbw speakers should be plenty

I agree, I'm running my Radials with the 5 watt per channel Decware EL34 Monoblocks and there's plenty of headroom.

There's bonus excess headroom I'm unlikely ever to utilize to be exact (in my small room, in my living room/dining room, plenty of power with headroom).
