I just got my WO36(36x36) up and running and love the way it sounds. The question my friends keep asking is will the small version(36x24) perform as good as the big one? My WO36 is quad loaded with cheapest 10" woofers I could find and it is KILLER!  My friend has a small room and wishes to build the 36x24 with just two woofers. All he wants is hard and fast bass. He does not care how low or loud but he loves the 10" woofer quick and hard punch. Can anyone give me an idea what combo(2 woofers/WO36 size) that will hit hard and fast with the limited size(36x24). Thanks DirtDawg. Have you quad loaded any of your WOs? Can a WO with two good woofers compete with "el cheapo" quad loaded WO? My friend loves the way mine kicks but a budget can cramp one's choice in woofers. He would like to stay with the two woofer set up (if the price is right) and those JBLs look good to me. When I first built 2 WO's for my garden I used 2 of those JBL drivers I pointed to in each cab and I was pleased with the sound. The reason I quad loaded them was ..... hmmm? It had something to do with a thread on isobaric loading and me being out of wood to cut at the time. I can't remember, but the improvement was not that great at first. When I started to push them to ridiculous levels the difference in iso-loading was much more noticeable. They just stayed cleaner with more abuse than single loaded, but not really any louder.

I've quad loaded 4 of the cabs I've built. Two of them I used in my garden last summer and two others I built for a friend were quad loaded with Eminence pro drivers and we put 1KW on each box for club use and they are serious contenders for creating a well kicked roomful of A55E5.

The only one I've seen with questionable drivers was the one 36x28 with old Kickers in it and I have to tell you the WO fixed those crummy sounding excuses for airpumps. Nothing against Kickers, but those were about 8 years old and beat half to death in an improperly tuned BR cab before they saw WO duty.

I just realized I didn't really answer your main question.
I think that you are always better off with a good quality driver, even in a 4th order cab, like a WO. Can 2 good drivers in a WO compete with a WO quad loaded with cheapies? No competition, the good drivers will win every time if extended enjoyment is a factor in the decision.

Your two cents was worth it Adrian D. I replaced the cheapos with two DAYTON SERIES II and man you can tell the difference. It seems to go a little lower and holds just about the same DB for one octave(105db to 106db from 30Hz to 60Hz). I am please with the results and appericate the info.
