To be ported, or not to be ported

I was wondering if porting my box would be an alright idea, a bad idea or a good idea.  I was thinking about porting the sealed section.  What do you think?  Please post your response on the pros and cons of this idea and what your opinion is.

Thanks for your views

I have heard of people porting it and getting more SPL. I can't imagine it having better sound quality IMHO
I have the same opinion as 60. but thats what it is just an opinion until I find out for myself.

how your porting it, where you are porting it, how it may create problems with the mouth Etc Etc. these are some of the factors.

If it is your first one, build it right then play with it by porting it, use a program to get close.
