Title: Anyone Familar with Mesa/Boogie Tubes
Post by Tony on 03/17/24 at 16:38:34

I stumbled upon an unfamiliar tube source, and tube prices were reasonable. What little I could find about these tubes is here:

"Mesa Boogie has been around since 1970. Their tubes are known for their quality, consistency, and tone, and they are a popular choice for guitarists of all levels. Mesa Engineering doesn't manufacture the tubes itself but sources them from various manufacturers around the world."

I searched the Decware base and found a few references, but not much more. Is anyone familiar with these tubes and how they perform within Decware amps?

Tony- While familiar with MESA, I have never bought their tubes. I'm sure they would work fine, but they are just rebranded. Let us know what you end up trying and Happy Listening, Chris.

Tony…I have no experience with the Mesa tubes. But I have played my guitar on a Mesa Boogie amp, and it flat out rocks. I personally like the Marshall stack better, so the Mesa would be a close second.

Please keep us posted and let us know what you decide on.

Yeah, Mesa is primarily in the guitar amp market but there is no reason you can't use their tubes for audio. Like others have said, they rebrand current production tubes so they aren't fundamentally different from other tube "brands" out there.
