Title: SE84UFO Impedance Switches in Mono
Post by artto on 03/03/23 at 21:17:55

I am using two SE84UFO with both channels bridged for mono operation.

Since there is one impedance toggle switch for each channel, what happens if one of the two switches is switched in the opposite direction?

What kind of impedance range/compatibility does this result in?

Is it safe to change the impedance switch settings when the amp is powered on when being used in mono mode?

S.D. just replied via email:

"Yes, impedance switches are designed to be used while you listen.
They do not have to be the same way, no.
It would not change the impedance settings but simply make more settings inbetween. Since the best way to use impedance switches is by ear, just adjust them to what sounds best in your room."
