I wonder why the manual recommends against substituting the 0A3 and 0C2 tubes. The other Decware equipment that has voltage regulators allows a swap of the voltage regulator tubes.

RivierRaranch, that's a good question.  Which manual are you referring to?

I have explored 0A2, 0B2, 0C2, and 0D2 tubes and 0A3, 0B3 0C3, and 0D3 to find my favorites in the Torii MKIV.  So far, no issues - only preferences.

My problem stems from these little audio F 15 speakers being so damn sensitive that when I turn the volume on the mini up the slightest bit, it gets really loud. I have tried increasing the feedback controls, but that robs you of something desirable in the sound.

I don't know how different the current version is from the Mini Torii you have, but on the latest product description page and in the manual linked therein it says the 0A3 can be substituted.

- The OA3 can be substituted with OB3 OC3 and OD3, although the highest power
and lowest distortion will come from the OA3.

The OC2 and 6CA4 should not be substituted. -
