Title: Western Electric Tubes 6SN7 and 300B
Post by Doug on 07/22/22 at 03:32:48

According to Hoffman Forums member, KHorn (the guy who has been using WE’s prototype 6SN7 tubes for quite some time) WE is only six to nine months from launching production and sales of their new 6SN7 tube. Can’t wait to see if the new WE’s can exceed the performance of the Cryotone 6SN7-WC’s.

On a related note, my WE300B’s now have more than 600 hours of music making and they keep sounding better and better.  These WE300B’s produce the most beautiful music imaginable.  They truly are magical, and that very magic has brought back Little Hatch from the dead this evening.  He’s down stairs right now blowing his harmonica and singing the blues, the way he used to at BB’s Lawnside Bar-B-Q and at the Grand Emporium (sadly closed many years ago), both of which are only a few minutes from our home.  If you haven’t heard Little Hatch, check out his APO recording, Goin’ Back, for some down home, close up, intimate blues.  His other APO album, Rock With Me Baby, is also a great recording.  Thanks Western Electric for making it sound so real!
