Post by mperdue63 on 04/19/22 at 02:57:21

Wondering if any members are running Spatial X5 speakers etc. And if so how are they?
Thanks in advance for the feedback

Lazb,
Thanks for the reply. Are your X3's in walnut, Cloud sent me a picture of walnut X3's in production. I've ordered X5 and I'm trying to decide if I want the walnut slabs. $750 for walnut is 10% of the standard price so I guess that's reasonable for the upgrade. I have a pair of SE84UFO25 amps that run in mono now with diy ZF15M speakers. Sounds good but bass and LF is an ongoing challenge. Some days it's good, other days it's not there. I added a diy OB W-15 sub but really never got it working well. My room is a big part of the challenge so I'm working on acoustic panels etc. I'm hoping the X5's will be more forgiving and flexible about placement. Have you heard the X3's with SET or something similar to the UFO25?

I have not heard them at all other than youtube reviews. I ordered the sapele fronts. Currently using DNA2 speakers and they are unbelievable even with one UFO25th amp. I have another amp ordered just for the additional headroom.  Expecting delivery around Christmas.(????)The bass is low and large but feel open baffles will be easier to eliminate typical box speaker bass problems in room. 60 day return if unhappy.

I believe sapele is what Decware uses and stains it "walnut" The gold tones in your speakers are really nice and if you happen to have "walnut" Decware  gear it should pop both accoustically and visually! I have a few Decware walnut bases that have the same character that you speaker have. They look really nice.

Curious how long you had to wait and how much was shipping?

It has been a few days over 2 months and I still have no shipping date. I think shipping from Utah to Arkansas was $300.

Hi Joe.

I had not noticed this thread. Sounds like you will be loaded for bear!

Have you heard anything else about shipping?

When you get all of this setup, please post some pics. Should be totally awesome!

Best,

Geno

Very curious and interested in the Spatial Audio speakers, especially the X3 and X5 models.

Can't wait to see photos of these after you guys receive them.

12 weeks since I placed my X5 order and still waiting! They told me they had all the parts for the build at the time I ordered. I later changed the front panels to walnut, was not suppose to delay the delivery..it did. Turns out they are waiting on other parts now!
