Apparently from another board they already are producing 6SN7, currently field tested, due to be released September.

Ditto.  I thought this was some good news and responded to their inquiry.

Saw that, very exciting.

The big question is how they will price these.  Apparently they are leaning more towards the guitar market vs home audio (but of course works for both) which to me implies realistic retails.

This is very interesting. The timing is great. I stick to NOS as much as possible, but this may ensure quality supply in the future.

@ bolded: I agree.

Though I have a sneaking suspicion they will still be exceedingly expensive just because they are WE so I'm not holding my breath.

For the hell of it, I sent a request in as well.

Thanks Lon for reposting this important news about WE.  I have also written them a personal note making a good case for a 6P15P-EV video tube since there are so many Decware amps floating around the planet in service with lifetime warranties ; )

If WE will make them, and then get Don to Cryo treat them -- it would be the holy grail.

Steve

I hope that can come to pass Steve, WE made then you select, test, and match and then the Cryotone treatment should be the ultimate for the amps. Exciting possibility.

In the meantime I would look forward to the Cryotone treatment of the output tubes you send them.

I am very happy to read about the WE tubes and Cryotone treatment, great to see some progress in this area. When I went to the WE link asking for my .02 cent I put in a plug for 807's for our Rachael, see what happens. I am hoping that anyone who purchases from either vendor will post their impressions, as I am sure they will. That is one of the many things that makes this forum so special. Happy listening all, Chris.
