Title: SE84UFO25 And Walsh 2000 Ohm speakers
Post by Alex on 03/12/22 at 21:13:47

Hello folks,

I’m looking at buying a pair of Walsh OHM speakers and I am curious to know if anyone else has tried these speakers with the SE84UFO25 amp. Does this amp have enough juice to power these speakers at mid volume?  The room I’m playing these in is 16x14 sq ft.

2,000 ohm speakers. Your gonna need a really big amp.

Just to get started, what is the given sensitivity of these speakers? Your room dimensions won't be difficult to deal with, so that's good.

I think I may be Ok. I say this because I have a pair of Quad 11L2 bookshelf speakers with a sensitivity of 88 dB @ 2.8V and the amp powers the speakers without a single problem. Better yet, with the Walsh Omnidirectional speakers costing $1,950 per unit, they have an awesome return policy if they do not meet your needs.
