Title: Vertical mount!
Post by DowdyPrime on 01/17/22 at 16:22:51

Here's a strange one. Significant other would like to mount an SE84UFO25 vertically. I do not own one yet. What do you think? Unwise? Does the chassis have an 'easy' way to handle this? I imagine it would be too prone to vibration, but maybe?

Should be no problem. Nestled admidst the forum somewhere are pictures Steve posted of one hanging on a wall in a workspace (the wood shop?). You may have to drill a hole in the bottom chassis plate to have a place to put a hanger but that's not hard to do. . . .

Thanks, Lon. Fantastic. Perhaps some vibration damping material between the amp and the wall would also help.

I always experiment with isolation and vibration control with usually good results. ;)
