Title: 16 OHM or 8 OHM? Post by Dana on 06/11/21 at 15:55:25 I posted this earlier in the DIY section but it was suggested I post it here. Thoughts? I just bought a pair of Speaker Lab SK corner horns (Klipsch Khorn clones) I'm planning to upgrade the top section with a different compression driver and then bi amp the bottom section with a SS amp. My question is the drivers I'm looking at come in both 8 OHM and 16 OHM. Does the SE84UFO care? Is there an advantage of one over the other since I'm not connecting multiple horns in parallel? Thanks, Danager |

Title: Re: 16 OHM or 8 OHM? Post by CAJames on 06/13/21 at 17:50:17 IMO the amp isn't going to care very much either way. 8 vs 16 ohms would theoretically play at different levels, but since the UFO has a volume control it should be easy to match to your other driver. |
