Title: Distributed Loading & Ultra-Linear Post by Brian on 04/06/21 at 04:58:51 I read that for the KT-88 tube, the Ultra-Linear condition of lowest distortion occurs with a 43% tap on the transformer windings. I am wondering if some other percentage might sound better by sacrificing distortion suppression to gain something else. Would experimentation require a shot-in-the-dark approach, or are there some guiding principles which would apply here? Brian
