Title: Deckert genius Post by Bdisaac1 on 03/15/21 at 00:50:06 I have a dedicated listening room similar in size to Deckert’s room...with the same alcove. Just by placing the speakers (my system is very modest) in front of the alcove...well to these ears they sound amazing. No other treatments yet...but can’t wait to see how some diffusers and absorbers make it even better.  It’s like listening to my music for the first time...hearing things I never heard before. Thanks Steve!!!!

One thing I've learned as an indesputable universal audio truth.....one's room is the largest, most important component in one's system. No matter what else you do and how much money you may spend, an unacceptable quantity of unused potential is left on the table...actually its much worse than that -- an untreated room destroys much of the good of a given audio system.
