Title: Lii 15 baffle product change Post by Randy in Caintuck on 03/12/21 at 06:07:34 Sadly, a couple of pairs of the Lii 15 baffles were recently damaged during UPS shipping, despite the very robust packaging materials I use to ship them ..... It seems that if the shipping carton is dropped or handled roughly, the hardwood baffle can split or crack. I believe that this is happening because of the size and weight of the driver in relation to the size and thickness of the baffle. Because of this, I am now offering two options - 1 – Provide the current baffles without the drivers and allow the customer to order the drivers directly from Lii Audio. Installing the drivers in the baffles only takes a few minutes. The screw holes will be pre-drilled and screws supplied. 2 – Make the baffles thicker than the current 7/8” thickness, which will increase the price of the speakers. For option 1, the price will be 400.00 less than the prices listed on the pricing sheet (plus shipping and packaging). Price List For option 2, it will add 200.00 to the prices listed on the pricing sheet (plus shipping and packaging). The baffles will be 1 ½” thick and include the F-15 drivers. Shipping the original 7/8" thick baffles (without drivers) is no problem. However, the thicker baffles with drivers tip the scale at 60+ pounds in a single shipping carton,  This makes the package both heavy and unwieldy and prone to being dropped by the shipping company. Shipping the pair of thicker baffles in two cartons involves a lot of time and materials to package them and doubles the cost of shipping. So ..... I have decided to only offer the Lii 15 baffles without drivers. They can be shipped in a single carton and the drivers can be ordered directly from Lii Audio. I am offering the baffles in three (3) versions ..... all without drivers - 1 - The original 7/8" thick baffles 2 - 1 1/2" thick baffles with front driver mounting 3 - The "Plus" version (1 1/2" thick) configured for rear driver mounting and a "roundover" on the front for the driver opening Additional information can be found here. Several customers have already placed orders for the various versions of the baffles and I think that this is the best (and safest) solution to the shipping damage disaster ..... There have been no shipping damage problems with any of the 8" driver versions of the speakers. Title: Re: Lii 15 baffle product change Post by JAudio441 on 05/11/21 at 20:19:46 Randy, the Besty with the Lii15 is beautiful, especially the Plus version.  My wife said they look like a piece of furniture.  I of course agree.  I never heard a pair of open baffle speakers so I will be placing an order as soon as I get back from vacation.   I do have a novice question, do the F15 Lii drivers connect via bare wire or banana plugs?

Giving the drivers a work out with some F-15 playlists put together by Tom. The baffles are thick and gorgeous.
