You know, if you don’t need to pick up Steve’s amps or move them around very much, over time one tends to forget just how heavy and solid they are.
They’re built like tanks and could probably survive a nuclear blast.

In 75 years your great grandchildren will be listening to it and thanking you.

No kidding! I had to recently pack up my SE84UFO25 to ship to Alex, and that was way heavier than I remembered. The little SE84UFO already has some heft. Truly built like tanks. Makes them feel even more worth their price if the audio quality wasn't enough of a reason.

Hells, would you mind sharing your thought process in parting with your SE84UFO25 and acquiring the Torii? I noticed per your signature that you decided to keep the SE84UFO, rather than the 25, which caught my attention.

For context, I'm a brand new Decware enthusiast (this is my 1st post, actually!) looking to make an informed purchase decision.

Thank you in advance for your time!

Hey RightSz,

Welcome to the forum! My thought process was simple, I wanted to upgrade as I needed more watts. So I parted with the SE84UFO25 as my other SE84UFO is a fantastic "backup" unit. If I had to choose which of the two to keep, and I wasn't trying to use it to parlay directly into another amp, I would have kep the SE84UFO25. It's a truly fantastic amp.

That being said, I am *really* loving my Torii Jr with the 25th Anniv mods. It's just simply sublime.

Thanks! That's helpful. Forgive my ignorance, by 'parlay' you mean double amping? Or using a pre?

By parlay I mean selling it to afford my other amp :)
