Title: Re: Broken guide pins on tubes Post by Rivieraranch on 05/06/20 at 12:52:21 Thanks for the info. I recently suffered a broken guide pin on a cheap Chinese 807 to 6L6 converter. I looked at the other one and saw that the guide nub fell between pin 1 and pin 8. So I just pushed what was left of the broken guide pin into the chassis and inserted the converter in the proper position. |
Title: Re: Broken guide pins on tubes Post by spyder1 on 05/10/20 at 02:30:55 I have had Rectifier Tubes w/ broken guide pins. If you examine closely, you can identify where the "key" used to be. You can scratch the Bakelite with a file across from the "Key Remnant" to help with plugging in the rectifier. |
