Title: socket savers? Post by piezoman on 03/26/20 at 17:19:46 Hi all, With tube rolling, is this a sensible idea with the Decware equipment, or a waste of time? If worthwhile, what brands/sellers do you recommend? I have some cheap chinese-mfd. savers purchased on ebay that I had used with my now-sold push-pull amp. Brad |

Title: Re: socket savers? Post by CAJames on 07/05/20 at 17:58:59 Hi all, I'm new to Decware, but I've been rolling tubes for a long time. And IMO if you are rolling noval socket tubes (9 pin like 12AX7, 6DJ8 etc) at least as important as socket savers is using a pin straightener, every time. I use the one that came with my tube tester but it looks like Decware sells a very nice one or you can get Mullards on ebay if you want some NOS UK cache. |
