Title: Another question about tubes?
Post by Radarek on 12/25/19 at 01:56:08

Hi All

Merry Christmas to every one. Have a playful holiday season.

Just in time I have my amp project up and singing... what a gem. Very promising, it will take me few days of congratulations to myself on mission almost accomplished... lol. Still some touches to do. Question is?

How hot the tube can get?

Driver around 65 Celsius
Output tubes around 150 Celsius left 130 Celsius right.
Power trafo 30 Celsius

Those values were measured with laser hot gun so they should be quite accurate.

Didn't measure all the points for V values as my meter is a basic one. Needs something better. C was 0.2v off. D points were right one 2.45v and left 3.1v. That one is in the allowed brackets but will try to investigate it more. Still need to measure A and B points yet.

That one 1K resistor (5w) is hot, will change it to 50w after xmas. Lets play now...
