Title: Palomino Playlists
Post by Palomino on 12/18/18 at 15:41:49

I know a number of you subscribe to Tidal.  Here are a few playlists I have put together.  They won't be for everyone.  I listen to more mellow music - jazz, vocals etc.  I start with some demo playlists that I have put together from various audio fests Then some individual artists and complications.  There is a bit of song overlap in the playlists.

If you have a playlist you'd like to share, please do.

I'll add more as I have time to clean up some I have already put together but just haven't cleaned out some of the stuff that I no longer like.

Some Demo Playlists:

Paul McGowan of PS Audio:

Palomino,

Thank you for the TIDAL playlist links. I have really been enjoying the previous playlists you posted. Great music and superb sonics.

I encourage others to post their favorites here. It will make for outstanding holiday, downtime listening pleasure.

Peace and happy listening to all.

Pfft,
These are poor excuses for playlists.
I see no mention in any of them of "Delta Dawn" by Tanya Tucker or "Tie a Yellow Ribbon Around the Old Oak Tree" by Tony Orlando and Dawn.
And any list without "In A Gadda Da Vida" by Iron Butterfly is just a travesty.
I gotta go "Gypsies Tramps and Thieves" by Cher is playing!

I know, I know.  Standard audiophile crap.  No soul.  Now that Cher, that’s some soul.  Half breed...

OK, you guys are driving me a little Crazy.  I'm not on Tidal, please do tell me about it. Cost, what's needed for audiophile playback, etc.  Mark

Mark,

It's $19.99/month for TIDAL. You should be able to find a 3-6 month trial available online.

This is the best, sound quality wise, music streaming service I have found. I listen to it extensively on my two-channel system, HT system and portable set up.  Make sure to use the Master Quality setting for best results if you try out the service.

Here is the latest Paul McGowan playlist he posted on his two latest daily post:

https://tidal.com/playlist/151d5808-966d-4186-87e1-dc90354a4e71

Some good tunes I didn't have.

Ha, I knew you were going to post that list. I was tempted to put together a playlist, and I'm like, nah, I'll let tom do it!

It said Part 1 in his post, so I'm assuming there will be more. LOL

Now to see if I can remember how to import this into Roon. I had to jump through some hoops last time...

I forgot to say Thank You my friend!

Boy, Paul sure has a good list, I've listened to it all the way through and it's great!

Well, except for this one tune...the lyrics killed me.

It went something like:

"You're in my blood like holy wine - I could drink a case of you and still be standing"

Cripes it was awful. I feel like I need to format my music drive, reform all my capacitors and replace the drivers in my speakers to purge those lyrics from my life. (LOL only slightly exaggeration)

Here a very long playlist with some good cuts that was posted on a facebook page that I subscribe to;

My 25th seems to have passed yet another seasoning point.  Sounding absolutely exquisite these days.  A number of these tracks sound  unbelievable.

I have all these somewhere.  You do hear them a lot at audio shows.  Most of them I like.

Thanks for the list!  I'm huge Sarah K fan and Chris Jones backs her up on a live album.  I now have another artist to add... always a good thing

Here are a couple more playlists.  Pretty chill. Some of you might like them.  One is more instrumental and the other is more female vocal.

The female vocal was mostly auto generated by Tidal in one of their MyMix playlists.  I like these MyMix compilations as a source a new music.

The both feature big soundstages. I’m into this kind of music because I’m using the Big Betsy’s lately and they produce a large soundstage.
