Title: CSP3 w/o headphone jacks?
Post by rodcad on 12/05/18 at 20:38:05

Wondering if one can order the CSP3 in "a cleaner version" without the headphone jacks? Headphones will never be on my radar so I'm curious. Probably not if the holes on the top plate are there no matter what, but thought I'd ask.

If you wait for the 25th Anniversary version of the CSP3 that will be built to match the SE84UFO25 amplifier that will be made without the headphone circuit altogether. . . . That should appear soon as Steve has reported he's finalizing the prototype.

Here is the announcement Steve made for the upcoming version of the CSP3--it's bound to be expensive, but beautiful and I know it will sound amazing:

Alternately if you can handle or prefer a white topped Decware component, the CSP2+ had the headphone jack way at the rear of the component on the right side of the transformer, hardly visible. The CSP2+ is a very good headphone, I've had three of them in use at once in one version of my main system, and I really enjoyed their sound and flexibility.

Just an aside: If such an item interests you I have two I could sell (one listed with the stock caps, another with the beeswax caps I have not listed yet). I used both a lot but never for headphones, and there are issues with the headphone use now, but that is the only issue.
