Title: anyone heard of BANGY BANG TUBES?
Post by Rivieraranch on 07/24/18 at 13:32:09

I received email from this outfit that is related to Bangy Bang Music. They call themselves Bangy Bang Tubes. They boast the largest collection of US Made tubes in the world.

They are located in a high rent district on Miami Beach.

I got that too. Hard to look through too.

They bought out Old Guy Radio for one, who I bought tubes from once. Guess that is how they got my name.

I would have to look into it. I see some disturbing things such as Sylvania 12AU7 with green printing and gold pins. I don't think that was ever produced. Same with some GE's that also had gold pins. Somebody is dipping them.

I do know that Sylvania did make a military version of the 6922 for the Navy in the 60's that did have gold pins and green printed lettering.  If they made a gold pin version of that tube, I would imagine they did so for other tube types as well. Can't speak to GE.

They made 7308s with gold pins and green ink as well. But not sure about 12--- series tubes. Could be.

If you log onto their website and look at some of the tubes the screening does not appear to be original. It appears that somebody has screened them over and it doesn't look right.
