I see that Decware offers a 6N5P tube now... for Torii's, Rachael's, SE84's and ZMA's.

looking for anybody's experience with this tube... particularly in a Torii.

I love them in my ZTPRE. . . very clear and dynamic and open sounding. I have used them also in my CSP3-25 and my Monoblocks. And in my Torii Mk II and Torii Mk III which have lately gone in and out of my second system.

There's quite a bit of info here on the forum about them if you do a search, and I agree with what Steve says about them . . . they sound an awful lot like the best 6N1P but with perhaps a tad less warmth and with a bit more focus. I've bought some off the internet and the best was a pair of older "black anode" ones. The ones that I have gotten from Steve (judiciously tested and selected by Steve) have been far better than the same tubes from the internet. They're definitely worth experiencing. If you like the 6N1P in the Torii you'll like the 6N5P.

I may just have to give them a go in my Torii III.
