Title: ZP3 WTF??? Post by Archie on 05/20/18 at 19:07:46 Yesterday I had my system on for a couple hours and then shut it down for a few more. When I powered back up my ZP3 didn't come on. I tried lots of trouble shooting. I swapped fuses, tightened the fuse connection, used a different power cord and changed all the tubes. Nothing worked. I then took the top of and looked for any smoked components or loose connections. I didn't find anything. I touched and jiggled a lot of things too. I retubed with the same tubes I'd been using and now the thing poweres up fine. I HATE intermittent issues. >:( Anybody with anything similar? Right now the ZP3 is working just fine. |
Title: Re: ZP3 WTF??? Post by Syd on 05/21/18 at 19:22:17 It was usually the power cord with me, a small piece of card to tighten the fit has solved all of that. I had a fuse go in the mains conditioner was another one. If I remember correctly if you turn the warm up switch on after the main switch also has an effect. Oh, and the plug to the mains conditioner. That one took a bit of tracking down. Just a 16th loose. Pushed all the plugs and that one wasn`t quite in. |
Title: Re: ZP3 WTF??? Post by Archie on 05/22/18 at 00:59:41 I'm hoping it was just a snag with the switches. I triple checked all the connections, fuse contact, etc. I had a similar issue with my ZMA that seems to have been a loose fuse holder. I've had the not quite plugged in plug issue on my ZR2. So many connections! |
