Hello all. I've been very much wanting to build one of these beautiful SE84C amps but I'm up against the same block that usually stumps me. These Edcor transformers.

I've used Edcor transformers before and I like them fine but the 8-week turnaround is soulcrushing. I know it can vary but the last ones I got just before Christmas was indeed 8 weeks.

Can anyone recommend anything else? I realize that I should just take my time and be patient but, I mean, two months?

Have you reached out to Steve to see if he's got some in stock to sell you?

If not, Mercury Magnetic makes good stuff. If you know the specs you could see if they have something in stock that's close. They are spendy though.

Thanks for replying Lonely! I have asked Steve and he recommended a Hammond for the PT and really any 4 -10k OT.

I have two Edcor GXSE15-5K 8ohm Ots and I'm wondering how they'd do.

Any thoughts?
