Title: My Rachael is suddenly crackling and popping
Post by martin on 05/25/17 at 02:04:32

I hope I'll discover this is a known issue and there is an easy fix (right, huh?).  Today I turned Rachael on and as she warmed up I started hearing a fairly loud popping and crackling.  As of the last time I listened, maybe 2-3 days ago, there were no issues.  I tapped a few tubes and wiggled the input lines to no effect.  Then I turned the volume down and found this continued to happen even with the volume all the way turned down.  Help!?

Could it be a speaker cable not fully connected?

Maybe it is turning into breakfast cereal! Seriously you might check the rectifier. It might be going bad. Then check and clean all the connections.

Yesterday I had some feedback kinda noise when I fired up my Vinyl rig in the second system.  After changing a tube I'd just put in, I fiddled with the ground wire...it had gotten knocked a little loose when I added my Taboo MK III onto the table the ZP3 is on.

Also, I would never be without a way to adjust each channel.  Either with a CSP3 or two volume controls.  Due to speaker placement and occasionally a desire to turn down the drums, I often have them set differently. Mark.
