Title: Stones: Blue & Lonesome Post by bikehappy1 on 02/02/17 at 04:04:06 My vinyl version doesn't sound as good as other albums. Granted, I haven't received my new Torri yet but still. Compared to other vinyl, it sounds muffled. Has anyone else had this phenomenon? |
Title: Re: Stones: Blue & Lonesome Post by Tripwr1964 on 02/02/17 at 19:56:55 bike doesn't sound like any version has much for quality. cd/download/or lp https://www.decware.com/cgi-bin/yabb22/YaBB.pl?num=1480809494 the download is horrible. too bad cause the tracks are classic. |
Title: Re: Stones: Blue & Lonesome Post by bikehappy1 on 07/22/17 at 02:50:47 Ok. I've been playing my new Torii but I've added an Ortofon 2MBlue and then a zp3! The Stones album sounds much better now along with all my other albums. I don't have tons of audiophile experience but the zp3 added lots of pop across the whole spectrum. Sweet! |
Title: Re: Stones: Blue & Lonesome Post by Tripwr1964 on 08/01/17 at 17:40:46 yeah the 2m blue and zp3 is a great combo. the high gain works great with zp3. that was my favorite mm/stage combo to date. i tried the 2m blk, but wasn't worth the price in my opinion. |
Title: Re: Stones: Blue & Lonesome Post by bikehappy1 on 02/11/18 at 01:16:25 Listening to “Blue & Lonesome” some more at slightly elevated levels with the Torii and zp3. I rolled some tad tk66,s and amperex 7308 on Lon’s likes. Sounds 180 degrees better than the first time I played it. Dexter Gordon and Charlie Rouse are sounding great too!! Love my Decware! By the way, the first time I played it, I didn’t have the zp3. |
