Do I need to power down the unit prior to changing interconnect cables? Do I need to power down the unit prior to changing tubes? -thanks

Title: Re: General Amp Questions Post by Lon on 10/23/15 at 17:23:18 Hi El Capitan, I personally just turn the amp volume all the way down when changing interconnects and have never experienced anything detrimental by not powering the amp or preamp off. But for changing tubes, yes, power the component off completely.
