sonic impact of adjustable cathode voltage (starving) vs adjustable feedback bias for tube buffers / pre amp or directly on amp? both have been employed to affect 'tube sound / warmth'

I have listened to simple bias adjustable buffers and was interested in comments re adjusting feedback vs cathode starving, and could these be incorporated into the voltage stage of an amp - or is it best at the power stage?

taj, not many amp builders here. There are better forums for amp building questions, but as you probably know, they all have their biases.

Welcome by the way! Do you happen to have any Decware gear?

No I do not currently own any Decware products, but have read info on the Model ZBOX buffer and hence my posted question. I have recently built a modified ST120 tube amp and was considering employing adjustable feedback, but wanted to investigate the voltage filament aka the ZBOX option as well- and would expect the later best to focus on the preamp tubes vs power tubes.
