Will a 6N2P work in place of the 6N1P? I've read in the forums that it will on the Rachel Amp...not so sure on the Superzen?

I don't need a lot of gain. happy with things as they are with 6N1P and other NOS.  I Have a 6N2P and was under the impression that it may need rewiring of the socket to work...Also read it will sub for a 12AX7- but again may require rewiring...something I have no desire to attempt

6N2P is not a substitute for 12AX7, but it works fine as a substitute for 6N1P, to the best of my knowledge.  I have tried it in TORII mkII, CSP, SE34I.2+ in place of 6N1P and it had worked great.  The only potential issue is some of the 6N2P's can be more noisy than the 6N1P's (at least, to my experience) so finding one with low noise can be difficult.

The 6N2P is actually the Russian version of the  American 6AX7
