Thought it might be cool to start a thread about books/movies that deal with all that is music related and can be recommended. I'm currently reading Rodney Crowell's Chinaberry Sidewalks and it is a great memoir. Feel free to include movies as well. Searching for Sugarman and Muscle Shoals have been my fav movies about music lately.

Good idea! I started a very avant-garde novel, the first published by a friend of mine in Dallas, Joe Milazzo. I read an excerpt of it about seven years ago so it's a long time coming, and I'm very proud. It's an imaginary novel about Thelonious Monk, his wife Nellie, and his patroness Nica de Koenigswarter.
