Title: How long do VR tubes last?

Dear fellow audiophiles, have you ever had to replace the VR tubes in your amp?

I don't have a tube tester which can test those.

Are there any owners especially Torii MK3 or Mini Torii users who have used the same set of VR tubes for over 2 years?

I thought I recall people saying the good milspec VR tubes should live many years due to them being low temp devices. 2+ years should be nothing.

Still, I have a box with 5 pairs of spares because they don't make them anymore, and accidents happen.

I have rolled a lot of VR tubes, but I have used one pair for more than two years with no degradation of sound quality, reliability issues, etc.

We're 7 years out from your last post on vr tube lifespan. Could you update? Thanks

Jon

I had a Raytheon 0c2 go bad on me once. No other 0c2 or 0A3 has gone bad. I have had Mini Torris, a Torii Mk III & MK IV.
