Title: My set up
Post by Greg12 on 08/06/14 at 13:15:46

I actually took these pics back in January when I rec'd my Monoliths.  The only things different, I ditched the subwoofer and I'm running GL KT66 now instead of the 77's.  I love the sound I'm getting, only thing left is to save up for a ZP3.  Then I'm done buying anything else for the forseeable future.

Wow Greg, that room looks nice and cozy.  I bet the Monoliths really light up in that space.

Hi beowulf,

Yeah the room is nice and cozy, sometimes, a little too cozy though.  Someday I'd like to knock out the wall behind the stereo and expand the living room into the unused bedroom behind it.  Not only would we gain some usable living space, but I'd also then be able to position the speakers out into the room, away from the front wall a bit.  Not that it's that bad listening in the near field, but I'd really like a room large enough to be flexible w/ speaker placement.  Some day.

But yeah,  the Monoliths really do light up the room, and then some.  Especially with the KT66's powering things.  Great tubes.
