Periodically throughout the various threads here I see people asking about where to get knobs for their amp. Thought I would be good to have a dedicated thread on it that people could post pictures of their's and links to where they got them.

I bought mine at a Radio Shack store in town here. I think the silver one I use for volume was around $10 for a pair. The black ones in the rear used for treble/bass tuning were like a couple bucks each.

Nothing fancy, but I wanted knobs that have indicators on them and wasn't a big fan of the chicken head knobs that came w/ mine.

Those are cool Greg, they look similar to the knobs on my McIntosh Preamp. I was actually thinking about picking up some Mac knobs and trying them on the Taboo as they have indicators on them too and I like the way they look.

Hi Beowulf,

Do you happen to know if the Mac knobs come in a 1/2" wide size that would fit the posts of a Torii? The bass/treble knobs I have are plastic, no one really sees them so are fine, but a nice aluminim set that would match closely to my volume knob would be nice. Come to think of it, I never checked w/ RadioShack online to see if their assortment is larger than the retail stores, which didn't have the metal 1/2" type. Have to take a look one of these days.

I think the Mac knobs are very clean/classy looking that still have the indicators on them. What would be cool is a combination of the big and little knobs such is shown here on the C50.

Your right, that is a cool look. Especially if you have the black base. Looks like audioclassics.com carries Mac knobs. Not a lot of pics though.

The C2200 knobs or Anniversary Edition C22 knobs may work as well. Heck there are probably a lot of Mac pieces using the same knobs that could work.
