Title: Re: Owners manual Post by volkl18203 on 08/21/13 at 17:40:07 Thanks for the link and replys. The link unfortunately does not address why there are 4 binding posts on each amp or which to hook up to. I have them operating now....not sure about the sound :-/ Greg |
Title: Re: Owners manual Post by jsm71 on 08/21/13 at 21:12:43 I'm not familiar with this amp but if these are mono amps and they each have 4 binding posts, the likely answer is that there are three impedance settings supported. If like most Decware amps nothing is marked, the black post will be for the negative speaker wire. The other three will be (I'm guessing) for 4 ohm, 8 ohm, and 16 ohm speakers and would connect the positive speaker wire. Only one of these three will be used. I would try each one however to see which one sounds the best regardless of how your speakers are rated, just make sure both channels are connected the same. Edit: Just saw the pictures on the other forum. I was wrong and now I can't offer a guess. Never mind. :) |
Title: Re: Owners manual Post by Steve Deckert on 08/22/13 at 20:44:50 The reason there are dual binding posts on both sides of each amp is simply for convenience. You can use the left side or the right side, as they are wired internally in parallel. Steve |
