Title: Zen select input tube bias - Anyone mod for LED? Post by nubz69 on 05/25/13 at 18:34:04 I'm just curious if anyone has tried using an LED bias for the input tube on their amplifier and if it was a worthwhile mod. |

Title: Re: Zen select input tube bias - Anyone mod for LED? Post by nubz69 on 05/27/13 at 01:33:37 Just modded my amp. Now one switch setting is the original high bias level and the other is led biased. There is a very clear improvement accross the board with the led bias. I have had this amp for 10 years and I still love it. This is my first major mod to the amp. If I try anything else I may put a ccs on the output tubes. Here is some more info on led bias. http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/tubes-valves/76025-ping-sy-led-cathode-bias.html |
