Torii and new tubes arrived today :), unfortunately the power transformers were bent during shipping. :'(
Good news is that there doesn't appear to be any damage to the chassis.

It seems to work okay, with the feedback controls all the way on (clockwise) there is a fairly loud whistling sound through the speakers.

The black rocker switches don't seem to do anything but disconnect the speaker output. :-/

It will probably be going over to Peoria sooner than I had planned.

I am also expecting a trip to Peoria. If only to avail the new amp to the warrantee transfer.

If I get the CCE mod done that means I have to buy more tubes. :o

Which tubes are you using ?
Not having heard the same amp with/without the cce mod, I can
say my SE34I with the CCE mod. is pretty outstanding.
Currently using Mullard EL 34's
I'll bet either way, you amp will be a wonderful piece.

Glad it is at least working.

The CCE mod works for EL34 and some 6CA7 tubes, other tubes will work perfectly fine, but won't benefit from the mod.

They were really thin at first, but after a few CDs everything is starting to come together.
