I also read on one of the Decware forums that that i might like the extra power of a TORII but would that be overkill for my Klipsh speakers and would i lose some sound magic not having the lower wattage tubes? IM still trying to connect with Maddog who has the SE 34I Thanks, Randy

The Torii is a wonderful amp. It sounds very close to the sound of the smaller SET amps.

With the high efficiency (I assume) of your speakers you will be able to properly utilize the smaller amps and in my opinion there IS a small directness, an "internal sunniness" that these amps bring that is a wonderful thing. This is lessened imo when the amps are asked to really put out power to power-hungry speakers, and that's where the Torii shines. It gives you an ease, a stress-free sound that is not a bit strained or congested as the smaller amps can be with less efficient speakers. For larger spaces or with less efficient speakers this brings out it's own little magic, big images with authority and a sense of authority and grace.

That's one listener's opinion. I don't have personal experience with your speakers. But if they have the sonic qualities I think they do, you may want to look at the smaller amps, though you'd enjoy the Torii.

I have had Klipsch speakers before and am familiar with their sound. A 6-watt amp such as the SE34I would be ideal for an 8 ohm impedance Klipsch speaker.

Randy, I have a pair of SE84C+ Zens with your name on them. Same power as the integrated, but more versatile.

Four channels of SET goodness gives a lot to play with. You can try a single amp in stereo with your 'Scalas, and if that is sufficient you have a spare amp for a second system. If more power than a single amp can deliver is required, you can bridge them and run them as monoblocks. You can even get crazy with it if you desire. I had a pair of 'Scalas set up fully active, PA style, using the SE84 amps on the compression drivers (you would need another amp for the woofs in this case, and a miniDSP or pro-audio active crossover, and some calibration tools, i.e. REW and a calibrated mic...like I said, you can get crazy with it, especially if you listen to the dudes over on the Klipsch forum).
