Title: proper PS mod for arcing 5R4GYS Post by Johnny on 12/04/12 at 14:51:36 What is the proper ps mod for rectifiers that are arc'ing in C+. I've seen the topic discussed for other amps and searched for an anwser but can't find it. Seems like a resistor in line just before the 1st cap to limit current rush. Anyone know a good value. I also read in another forum that using a silicon diode (in-line) on each plate leg worked by creating a gap (between its voltage turn on point) that arrested the arch. |
