Hello all and thank you for being here for me. I want to know what your experience has been purchasing tubes mentioned above. I am looking for 12ax7 tubes that are very low noise with exceptional sound. I love classical music, in particularly large scale choral and orchestral works and modern jazz groups and bands. Please advise where you would go to purchase tubes? Thanks for all suggestions.

Can't say on 6SN7, but on 12AX7 my experience has been you won't find better than Telefunken smooth plate tubes. They can usually be found on ebay, but pricey, as not made for years now.

Most online shops for musicians usually sell 12AX7 tubes. I bought one for myself in musiciansfriend.com. Maybe that can help.

Love the sound of those. Gives that just-right warmth I've always been looking for!
