What are acceptable rectifier tubes for the SE34I.3 besides the 5U4G? Can I use the GZ34/5AR4? I do not want to just try it and ruin a good thing.

Good question. I used GZ34s and 5U4G-STs in my SE34.2+ but can't say on the new amp. And I can't recall if the option was in the amp description then or if I got verification from a call, but it was definitely OK with that amp. I am speculating it is OK, but a call to Decware would sort it out if noone shows up who knows for sure here.

I don't know what everybody else is doing but I plan to stick a 5U4G rectifier in mine when it arrives. I'm done with the 5Y3. I only have one around here in case I need it someday. The DECWARE amplifiers are moving towards the 5U4 these days.

Confirmed...GZ34/5AR4 can be used in SE34I.3.

Has anyone used the Russian 5C4S rectifier in the 34.3 or any of the Decware amps that use the 5U4 for stock? There is conflicting info online as to the true equivalency of the 5C4S. The price is certainly right if they'll work.

They work. The Svetlanas sound very good.
