My compliments! Where did you get that beautiful wood case for the ZEN?

I have to take a photo of my desk with my TRAPEZIUMS on top.

I ordered the case from Decware.

Jim,

I looked real hard and found the amp base is still available. I think that base was the last one of those I built. Its been awhile for sure.

The part number is B610P but I stopped doing the scalloped slot for the volume knob and just bore the hole through.

They all, at this time require the volume knob.....Pretty wood isn't it?

That case - I don't know if it is only the wood - is just a stunner!

Nice setup, BF!  Very similar to what I run, regarding source, amp, and speakers at least.

Now get yourself a Mini Torii for the Klipsch so your can move the SE84 to the Trapezium system, and retire the NAD, and you're all set.

Thanks.

I have had the NAD for many years. It is great. I have tried the SE84C+ on the trapeziums, and it works great. I did order an SE34I.3 to use as my reference amp for the Klipsch.

I will soon have three amps that I do not want to part with. I also have a pair of Klipsch RB81 that I swap with the Forte II. I would like to get the ERR, but I do not want to part with my other speakers.

I would like to try a Mini Torii, but I wonder if the higher gain will do me any good or harm. I like the tube regulation and small footprint.

...Another constant internal debate is a new source. I really want the PS Audio PWT/PWD combo. In the end, I convince myself to stay with the Sony. It sounds really good with well recorded CDs to my ears, so I stay with it. I also like the headphone output of the Sony, tuner, and NAD.

I replaced the Sony with the PWT/PWD and it was a big expense, but a significant improvement for Redbook. Some SACD was better than the Redbook on the PWT/PWD, but not all. As I have a hundred or more times cds than SACDs, I'm okay with that. One day I'll get a really good SACD player again, most likely combined with a flagship Blu-ray player so I don't have to find a new rack shelf somehow.
